Institution Rules
General Rules
- Students are expected to maintain the best standards of behaviour in and out of the college.
- Students are expected to wear a clean and decent dress.
- Students shall stand up when the teacher enters the class and resume seat with his/her permission.
- No student shall enter and leave the class without the permission of the teacher.
- Students are strictly prohibited from loitering on the veranda and corridors during working hours.
- Students shall remain in the library room during free hours and utilize the time meaningfully.
- Students shall not disfigure college wall, furniture, etc. with writing or engravings. Those indulging in such activities shall be fined.
- Complaints, if any, may be lodged in writing through proper channel (via administrative staff related to infrastructure and hostel related and via principal related to education).
- Irregular attendance, insubordination to teachers, non-teaching staff and college authorities, and obscenity in word or deed shall be seriously dealt with. Students are advised to pay attention to the notifications appearing on the notice board from time to time so that they may be well informed about the day-to-day affairs of the college. Urgent announcements will be made over the public address system (whatsapp group, College website).
- Students are expected to maintain their classrooms clean.
- Coming late to class is a serious breach of discipline. You will not be permitted to leave or come late to the class under any pretext such as paying fees or library transaction, etc. In any case, none of you are allowed to leave the classroom without the permission of the faculty. The faculty shall have the right to cancel attendance for the particular period during which he/she engages, for indifference or for late coming without valid reason by students.
- Students are forbidden to attend or organize any meeting in the college or to collect money for any purpose without the permission of the Principal. They should not circulate any notice or petition or paste it anywhere in the college premises without the permission of the Principal.
Dress Code Rules
- Students are not permitted to wear visible body adornments, including earrings, and display body piercing or tattoos.
- Lady students may wear only necklaces, finger rings, and ear and nose adornments. Wearing heavy ornaments and / or jewellery on campus is discouraged.
- Make up should be sober and unobtrusive. Translucent dresses are forbidden. Dress should be comfortable and sufficiently loose to facilitate work without physical restraint.
- Wearing the uniform shall be compulsory as specified by the Institute.

Student Rule
Attendance Rules
- No component could have more than 20% weightage except End-Term examination. There shall not be any open book examination for mid-term and end-term examinations.
- Manual attendance in each class also taken for subject wise attendance.
- eachers shall record daily attendance of all students. The cumulative attendance during the Year shall determine the eligibility of the student to appear for the Year- end examination. A statement of cumulative attendance shall be prepared paper- /course-wise and shall be displayed on the Notice Board at the end of the month of teaching, and thereafter at the end of teaching during the Year.
- Attendance in at least 75% of the lectures delivered in each paper (Theory and Practical separately).
- Absence on medical grounds shall be offset against the 25% concession in attendance already granted. However, if absence on medical grounds exceeds 25%, the student may submit a Medical Certificate and request for condonation of shortfall in attendance on medical grounds. The Eligibility Committee shall examine such absence on a case-to-case basis.
- A student representing the Institution / State / Country in extra-curricular or co- curricular activities may submit an application to the Principal, seeking leave of absence. If approved, such absence shall be treated as “on duty” and the student concerned shall be granted attendance during the period of absence. However, absence on account of such co-curricular or extra-curricular activities should be supported by documentary evidence issued by the appropriate authority.
Hostel Rule
General Rule
- Inmates of the hostels should strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the hostels. A declaration to this effect should be signed at the time of admission.
- The Warden / Dy. Warden shall act as the local guardian of the inmates of the hostel.
- No student is permitted to leave the hostel without the consent of parents and without permission from the Warden.
- While going outside the hostel premises, the inmates should maintain discipline and their behaviour and conduct should be impeccable so as to keep up the honour and prestige of the College. If there is any complaint against any of the inmates regarding his / her misbehaviour, severe disciplinary action will be taken, which may even lead to expulsion from the Hostel or College.
- The principal is vested with powers to regulate the hostel admission assisted by the respective wardens and to enforce general discipline in the hostels. Admission may be refused to any student seeking the same, and any inmate may be dismissed without assigning reason, if they indulge with any gross misbehaviour.
- Inmates are not permitted to organize any picnic or pleasure trip without the permission of the dean. No unauthorized meetings, social/communal gathering or activities are permitted in the premises of the hostels. Any such meeting or activity will be viewed very seriously and action which may include dismissal from the Hostel will be taken against the organizers.
- Guests / day scholars are not allowed to stay in the hostels without prior permission from concerned authority. Action will be taken against if any guest / day scholar is found in the rooms.
- Rooms shall be kept neat and tidy. The inmates are responsible for the care of the furniture and fittings in their respective rooms. For loss or damage to hostel property the inmates will be penalized and the cost will be recovered from them.
- Visitors will be permitted only on Sundays and other holidays between 7.00 A.M. and 06.30 P.M.
- In order to reach the classes in time, all students residing in the hostels should start from the hostel according to the schedule. Late arrival in the class will be viewed seriously and such students may be asked to vacate the hostel in the event of repeated violation of the rule.
- Computer without CD drives will be allowed to be used in the hostel with permission from the Dean. The software stored should have been approved by the HOD and Warden.
- Smoking, consumption of alcoholic drinks/drugs, non-veg, gambling, intimidation or violence, willful damage to property, entering the hostel premises in intoxicated state, shouting and using abusive language in their own hostel or in other hostel premises and campus, employing unauthorized persons for personal work such as washing clothes, etc., cooking in room are strictly not permitted.
